The Dove takes her flight...

The dove, takes her flight A dove sat all alone, and noticed where she ended up, Spoke to people around, and realized that this is not probably what she wanted, time passed, and she found places where words mean something, and so do people,  where the paths are anew and the ways are just a few, she took a stride like a midnight's tide, a stride who's moon was a goal, touched the sky, broke the glass ceiling,  and she made her way to space without whining, silence is virtue, sarcasm known by so few, she welcomed the bad days and the bad weathers with moods anew, heard, but never cared,  worked towards excellence, she was always prepared, Tell her something, and she might doubt you for being so good, Its the experiences that shes had, and some bad probably could, Who rules her is something unimaginable, Alexander the great too would've said I'm incapable, All she needs is herself, And Herself is all that she needs, Doves are white, peaceful as ever, Take care of themselv...

The Dichotomy Of Fame !

Rockstar, an immensely well directed, well thought of, well pictured, and well delivered film. A movie that has shown that there are directors in this film industry who can come out of their comfort zone, and make something that is totally unique in itself. Rockstar has crossed all the boundaries of telling how a love story is told, especially to the Indian audiences. We are so pampered with the usual ways of watching movies, and we know come what may, the end has to be a "Happy Ending". I have been observing this trend since sometime, with movies like Anusha Rizvi's "Peepli Live", Kiran Rao's "Dhobi Ghat", Anurag Kashyap's "That Girl in Yellow Boots", these movies have delivered something that Indian audiences will take time to adopt to. I termed the movie "dhobi ghat" as an "art film". It took a lot of time for me to understand what the stories wanted to say. It certainly is a new step into film making, someth...

The Advertiser

Management books say " Advertising  is a form of  communication  used to  persuade  an audience (viewers, readers or listeners) to take some action with respect to products, ideas, or services" . The 'management' definition is better kept in the books that we students read. What is more important is how an advertisement changes the perception of the society and the way it thinks."Kuch Khaas hai Zindagi mein , Kuch Khaas hai hum sabhi mein",(There is something special about Life, There is something special in all of us) .These lines were used for the Cadbury ads that literally boomed the sales of Cadbury and also gave a sense of individuality to people of the country that was still young and its society was still adamant to express its desries. "Har Ghar kuch kehta hai", a brilliantly scripted poem for Asian Paints worked wonders for the company to create an image for itself in the minds of the people. Who would have ever thought that an ad could t...

The Director - Anurag Kashyap

It was back in the 1960- 1970’s when the movies spoke about the prevailing conditions of the society and were based on what issues revolved around the population of our country. In a broader perspective the movies reflected what happened in the society. Today a lot of new age directors show the kind of society that one cannot really connect to. But I think apart from healthy entertainment there is also a need to know what is actually happening within/around the society. I have been moved by the works of one such director, who has made a niche in the industry, and is a man who has defined what cinema in modern times should be. The director is Anurag Kashyap, who is considered to be one of the most versatile directors in Bollywood (Hindi Film Industry). DevD, No Smoking, Black Friday, Gulaal and Paanch are the films that he has directed. Being a screenplay writer he is also associated with Satya, Water, and has written the dialogues for Mani Ratnam’s Yuva. Anurag Kashyap was born i...
