The Dove takes her flight...

The dove, takes her flight

A dove sat all alone, and noticed where she ended up,
Spoke to people around,
and realized that this is not probably what she wanted,

time passed, and she found places
where words mean something, and so do people,

where the paths are anew and the ways are just a few,
she took a stride like a midnight's tide,
a stride who's moon was a goal,

touched the sky, broke the glass ceiling,
and she made her way to space without whining,

silence is virtue, sarcasm known by so few,
she welcomed the bad days and the bad weathers with moods anew,

heard, but never cared,
worked towards excellence,
she was always prepared,

Tell her something, and she might doubt you for being so good,
Its the experiences that shes had, and some bad probably could,

Who rules her is something unimaginable,
Alexander the great too would've said I'm incapable,

All she needs is herself,
And Herself is all that she needs,

Doves are white, peaceful as ever,
Take care of themselves, indeed are clever

All they do when young, is prepare themselves for the long run,

Independent and pure, Serene and inspiring,
Hard work thats put in, is worth a learning,

The sky awaits what it deserves, day and night,

And thus the dove, takes her flight!

  1. A dove flutters to the pavement, obviously in pain.
Dogs look at it as an opportunity to do what they wish, fellow birds fly by, a female closes her eyes with an 'ishh' n scurries away, a writer sits in a corner, observing.
A few people come ahead, scatter the dogs, nurse the ailing bird, giving it bigger, better, stronger wings..
And the writer noted it all down.

And the writer noted it all down.

The Dichotomy Of Fame !

Rockstar, an immensely well directed, well thought of, well pictured, and well delivered film. A movie that has shown that there are directors in this film industry who can come out of their comfort zone, and make something that is totally unique in itself. Rockstar has crossed all the boundaries of telling how a love story is told, especially to the Indian audiences. We are so pampered with the usual ways of watching movies, and we know come what may, the end has to be a "Happy Ending". I have been observing this trend since sometime, with movies like Anusha Rizvi's "Peepli Live", Kiran Rao's "Dhobi Ghat", Anurag Kashyap's "That Girl in Yellow Boots", these movies have delivered something that Indian audiences will take time to adopt to. I termed the movie "dhobi ghat" as an "art film". It took a lot of time for me to understand what the stories wanted to say. It certainly is a new step into film making, someth

Is India evolving and building the best film directors of tomorrow?

The absolute hurry with which transformation and evolution have hit our dear country, it is lovely to see how fast we as an audience are looking at cinema and films. Entertainment is the pillar but how we entertain, and the narrative with which a message is conveyed is something that has changed to a large extent in our country. All thanks to the really bright minds from our country’s budding film industry who are trying to make a mark on the world map. The current generation is getting accustomed much faster to global films, from Shawshank Redemption, Shutter Island, to Blood Diamond, to Django Unchained, and the latest Wolf of Wall Street. And so are our changing preferences with the kinds of TV shows we watch, we've moved from Friends to shows like Entourage, Suits, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad and House of Cards, each belonging to different sets of drama. With so many changes, in terms of the technology and availability, that helped us watch global cinema in the last dec
